100+ Years of Hope and Opportunity for New Hampshire's Youth

Boys & Girls Clubs have been proudly working with New Hampshire youth since 1906, when the first Club opened in Manchester. Today, our seven Clubs serve approximately 19,000 members ages 6-18, from 82 NH communities, each year. We are based in Concord, Derry, Lakes Region (Laconia), Nashua, Manchester, North Country (Littleton), Salem and Souhegan Valley (Milford), with many outreach program sites augmenting Club house facilities.

Clubs offer programs and activities in five core areas: character and leadership development; education and career development; health and life skills; the arts; sports, fitness and recreation.

Four key characteristics make Boys & Girls Clubs very special:

1. Dedicated Youth Facility
The Boys & Girls Club is a place – a neighborhood/community-based building, designed for youth programs and activities.

2. Open Daily
Clubs are open every day after school, and often on weekends and vacation days, when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets for their energy and creativity.

3. Professional Staff
Every Club has well-qualified, well-trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models as mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support.

4. Available/Affordable
Clubs reach out to kids who need us most who cannot afford or may lack access to other community programs. Dues are low, last year averaging $23 per year. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds.

" As a little kid I was bullied a lot, but at the Club they have a no bullying policy…and they enforce it so I really feel safe here. "
